Health Benefits of Chocolate
I heard it said that there are four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and anything else chocolate. - author totaly biased!
For most people their weight is an issue. Actually, most of the world now has issues with their weight. Obesity levels are soaring with 58 Million Overweight; 40 Million Obese; 3 Million horribly Obese, in the U.S. anyway. It’s primarily due to an imbalance of protein, fat, and carbohydrates in our diets. Starving yourself is not the answer, and neither is going without chocolate at all the answer either, unless you just have to for medical reasons. Reach for a balanced diet and add moderation of chocolate intake to it and you should do just fine. Now, if, when I was a kid, someone told me eating chocolate was healthy thing, man, I would have cavities on every tooth by now! Good thing!
Research has shown that chocolate can actually stimulate the body. So if you ever feel down, a bite of chocolate may help purk you like a cup of coffee. Don’t over do it though and eat every chocolate cookie in the house. A candy bar or a little piece of candy is all you need to give you that extra boost. Also, if you’re on a diet, and you begin to crave junk food you are experiencing an imbalance, a lack of right things and a need for wrong things. These can hurt your diet if you allow it to take over. To prevent this from happening, treat yourself occasionally to some chocolate, dark chocolate, if you want the better. If you’ve eaten correctly all week long a little piece of chocolate will satisfy nicely without activating the cravings.
Chocolate contains antioxidants so, eaten in moderation, it can actually make you healthier. Whether a treat or taken for the pure health benefit, eating chocolate
can help you feel better. As long as you keep your eating of it in control, having some could just be the icing on top of a great diet plan! Have you have given chocolates before, just never like this!
